Whoops, a long time has passed....but now I have a new sister!!!

Wow, it's been a long time since I last updated. I have, in my mind, a valid excuse. I have been so busy preparing for my brother's wedding. It has been a very hectic 3 weeks. The first week I had my niece stay at our place. It was so much fun. We kept ourselves busy with baking cookies, going to the pool multiple times a day, going to the park daily, one time having a scavenger hunt with my dear friend Amy. We did all kinds of things, playing with ponies and dolls and stickers and colouring and the list goes on and on. Itwas so much fun, tiring, but fun!

The second week, I had 2 days to get our place ready for my mom to come and stay and work full time and then host my mom and make a wedding cake. Talk about insane! The cake turned out and it was well received. Brenton worked on the slideshow so both of our stress level was out the roof. We would come to each other at the end of the night and just hug...and remind ourselves that it's just temporary and worth it. At the actual wedding people kept asking me if I have ever considered going into business and my response was "No". Just the stress of it all and the anxiety is not worth it to me. I will do it for very close people but that's it. Anyways, this consumed a lot of time and energy and I was so happy I decided to do it so that on Saturday I was just able to enjoy the rehersal and dinner and just relax.

Oh yeah, and on Friday evening (before doing the final tier of the cake) was my brother's birthday party. That was a lot of fun. We went to Kelly O's and had a great time. I than came home after and stayed up until 2am working on the final tier (I was done about 1 am but stayed up to keep B company while he worked on the slideshow).

Than there was the wedding day. The hairdressers showed up half an hour late. This caused a little bit of frantic-ness but as soon as they arrived we were able to just relax and enjoy our time getting ready. Than we had to rush off to go and get our make up done and head over to the ceremony site. The wedding began and it was b
eautiful. The wind had picked up and there were a few minor wind created fiasco's but nothing that was too major to overcome. The Groom was handsome and the Bride was beautiful. After the ceremony we headed off for pictures. It was epic. Than to the reception. The dance was by far the best! We danced for a good 3 hours straight and our legs wouldn't let us forget the following day. Totally worth every moment!

The following day was just as busy as the wedding day. B and I went out for breakfast with my mom's side of the family. Than we headed over to the Bride's parents' house for the gift opening followed by hanging out with my sister and I can't remember what else we did that day. Seriously it's all a blur. All I know was that we as a group were all so tired. I remember coming home and just passing out. This was followed by another full work week and I can't tell you how I longed to see Friday come. I was ready for a weekend. I purposefully made sure there was nothing booked for this weekend and I am currently resting it up so that when I start my work week this week I'm ready with an abundant amount of energy. (So far it's not there). Well, I will
fill in the gaps later until next time,

Michelle
