This is going to be a short, but sweet update. Today is my cousin Brenda's wedding. She's going to be getting married to Keith Zseder. It was so funny yesterday because I was talking to Dawn about it and when I went to say his last name I had a french accent and it came out more like Zaadaar. haha. Both Dawn and I laughed hard about it. Then later on Gabriel asked if he could go and wake up Cameron. I told him, sure! So he went and woke him up. When Gabriel came back down I asked him if Uncle Cameron was resilient instead of resistant. haha. I was having word issues. haha. Again Dawn laughed at me. Let's just say that there was a lot of laughing involved yesterday especially when it came time to writing the limerick. For those going to the wedding you'll know what I mean. I can't say anything much about it in case anyone from the wedding reads this before the event happens.
I've never been so excited to go to a wedding before. I don't know what it is about this one but I'm soooo pumped! I bought this dress to wear to it and when I first bought it, let's just say it wasn't flattering. It was about a size too small...but it was the only one left and I was in love. So I decided that I would work my butt off and lose some weight that didn't really need a home any more. So I got to it and now the dress fits beautifully. I'm so excited.
Last week while Dawn was visiting up in Kelowna she found a dress for herself but needed to find some jewelery to go with it. So we went to the mall. I was like that's perfect because I knew of a necklace that they carry at Ricki's that I want to with my dress. Well, when we got there they didn't have the necklace I wanted any more. I was kind of, ok, really bummed out. So we kept our walk going. I was originally on a hunt for some high heeled shoes that would look good with my dress. So as Dawn went into Aldo accessories I went into Aldo shoes. When I first saw the sidewalk sale table I saw a shoe that I thought might just work out perfectly. So I went to go and get Dawn to come and check it out. But while I was in the accessories store I decided I should take a gander and see if I saw anything that might work. Well wouldn't you know it, the exact same necklace that use to be at Ricki's was now here. So I went to purchase the necklace and the girl at the desk said, did you see the matching earrings? I was like no way!! How perfect!
By this time Dawn was over looking at the sidewalk sale table of shoes. As I walked over she held up this one pair of shoes and I said, they're nice, but I like these ones. As soon as I held them up she said, yep those are the ones! So I went inside to see if I could try them on. When I asked the girl she said no problem. Went and found out that they only had a size 7 left. I was like, I'm a size 8 but I like them so much maybe I can squeeze my foot in. No such luck. So I asked if I could try on another pair that looked almost identical and she said sure. Went into the back but only had a size 7 in those as well...but on her journey found a size 9 of the original shoe. Tried that on but my inner Goldilocks came out. Too big. So I asked her if she had any down in the Richmond store because Dawn was going back the next day. She called down there and they said yes but we can only hold it until close tomorrow. No problem Dawn said. So the next day Dawn went and picked them up for me. (THANKS DAWN!!!) When I tried them on they were just right!!
I'm so excited for this wedding I can't help but tell everyone about it! Even my customers who have no idea who I am, let alone my cousin! haha. But everyone sends their blessings their way! Congratulations Brenda and Keith!!
