I Forgot I Had A Blog

Earlier this afternoon, while playing an awesome game of Settlers of Catan, I realized that I have a blog. Yes, I totally forgot I had one. Sorry to anyone who may still read this and want to know about my life. My bad indeed.
So what's new with me? I went to my niece's birthday party on the weekend. It was a total blast. Dawn is an awesome party planner. She made this wicked teddy bear birthday cake. It didn't only look great but it tasted out of this world. Really, in order to eat it we had to board a space shuttle and leave the world to try it. Kind of expensive gas bill, but soo worth it. Grace was so funny when she was opening the presents. She would open one and then go to thank the person by giving them a hug and saying, "sank you". So freakin' cute. Also, on the way back to her Winnie the Pooh seat she would give Joey, Corrie's best friend (whom she's in love with), a hug every time. It was very funny.
When I was just sitting in a chair minding my own business, just smiling like a fool at all the things around me, Dawn and her friends in the kitchen started calling me coo coo. I don't understand where this came from, but they all seem to think I'm a young version of Dawn and therefore I'm coo coo. This of course picked up by the children in the room and soon I was being called Auntie Coo Coo. AWESOME!!!!
My favorite part was the game. Joey and I became competitive in getting points. You see, we made our pizza's at the same time, mine looked prettier so I got a point. You have to pick the people who don't realize that they're playing. This gives you a better advantage on winning. And if you don't win it's ok because they didn't know that they were even in a contest and therefore won't throw it in your face. AWESOME. It's win win for you. However, I let the cat out of the bag and threw it in Joey's face that I won that contest so we continued for the remainder of the party to play this game. He ultimately won, darn my big mouth. But only by one point. I give myself props for getting the two other points that I got. I took the first piece of cake, which means I got a point because I beat Joey in getting some cake. haha. And I also got a point because I got a real fork and he got a plastic one! Yeah!!!!!! I will gloat! That one I had to strategize with Dawn, the fork handerouter! WOO! So yeah, it was a rockin' awesome party!

We Are For Sure Related to Crack Granny!

Today my dad proved that he's related to Crack Granny. (This is an endearing name that we call my Grandma, please don't take offence). He came home from a business trip which was a day early in my mind so the house wasn't clean...ahhh. I was rushing through some errands after work so I could get home and clean and was greeted by two boxes in the entrance way. My first response was, "OH NO". Then I said, "Hello?". I was greeted by my dad. I told him to get out..haha. I wanted to have it clean before his arrival. Anyways, that's not why I think he's definitely related to crack granny, that comes a little later in the evening.
First we watched a few shows. The first one being "America's Next Top Model". Ok, I watched that one by myself. But we did watch "Search of the Next PussyCat Doll." We had a lot of commentary during that one. Like, did they really have to show the girls puking? I would have just taken their word for it. This is when the crack granny moment happened. Dad was talking about something happening on Saturday. He looked at the calendar to verify the dates. I just looked at him like he was crazy and said, "Dad, that's last years calendar, and it's in the month of December." Not only did he have the wrong month, but he was in the wrong year. haha. It was an awesome moment.
After this moment we watched American Idol. I didn't like the girl who went second. She was the only one that I asked when the song was going to end. It seemed like it went on forever. Dad just laughed at my dramatics. Well, I have a few more updates just stewing in my head, so stay tuned for updates in a short time frame:)
